Frequently Asked

The plan includes: (1) personal stay recommendations for your dates and group, (2) a step-by-step English walkthrough for booking them yourself, (3) an English guide PDF covering check-in, rules, garbage sorting, and local tips, (4) an onsen area map with English notes, (5) directions from Tokyo and the airports, (6) our Zen digital detox guide, and (7) email support before and during your trip.

Accommodation (you book and pay the property directly), transportation, meals, in-person guiding, and onsen entry fees (typically ¥500–¥1,500 per person, paid on-site). We are explicit about this because we believe in honest pricing.

Not at all. We recommend glamping facilities, not primitive campsites. Glamping means real beds, climate control, proper toilet facilities, and usually showers.

No. Everything we provide is in English. We recommend stays you can book yourself and walk you through each step of the booking page in English. If you get stuck, message us.

Signal varies by location. Some rural areas have limited or no cell coverage — which is part of the appeal. Some glamping sites offer WiFi at reception buildings. We provide all necessary information (directions, guides, maps) before you arrive so you don't need connectivity on-site. Emergency contact options are always available.

Absolutely not. Our philosophy is "encouraged, not enforced." We create the conditions for a natural digital detox — nature, good food, hot springs, quiet — but we never take your devices or impose rules. Most guests find they naturally stop reaching for their phones within the first hour or two.

No. We are a planning and English support service, not a travel agency. You book and pay the property directly. We tell you where to book, which options to choose, and help you in English along the way.

We recommend 3–6 weeks before your trip, especially for weekends and Japanese public holidays (Golden Week, Obon, Silver Week). That leaves time to book while rooms are still open.

Asking is free. After your trip, we email you a secure payment link for $50 — pay only if you are happy with our plan and support. You can add an optional tip. It covers one trip (up to 8 guests). Your accommodation is paid separately, directly to the property.

You pay us only after your trip, so there is nothing to cancel with us — just let us know if your plans change. Your accommodation follows the property's own cancellation policy. See our Cancellation & Refunds page for details.

Yes. We provide an email address for pre/during/post-stay support. For urgent matters, the English PDF includes emergency contact information. We don't offer on-site guiding, but we're reachable for any questions.

Shinrin-yoku (森林浴) is the Japanese practice of "forest bathing" — slowly immersing yourself in a forest atmosphere using all five senses. It was formalized in Japan in 1982, and studies link it with lower stress. Yes, our packages include an English shinrin-yoku guide with specific practices for your forest time. You can read our full guide at /shinrin-yoku.

"Shinrin-yoku" is the original Japanese term meaning "forest bathing." "Forest therapy" is the broader English term that encompasses the same practice, sometimes including guided clinical applications. In practice, they refer to the same thing: spending quiet, unhurried time in forests for health benefits. Japan has over 60 certified Forest Therapy Roads designed specifically for this practice.

Yes. Glamping is designed precisely for people who want nature without roughing it. The most "outdoorsy" thing you'll do is grill your BBQ dinner and walk to the onsen. We include everything you need to feel comfortable and oriented from the moment you arrive.
